Director of the Faculty Student Mentor Program (FSMP)

Emiliano has worked in higher education for over 25 years and has served in various leadership capacities.  He was Coordinator for student recruitment at Chico State from 1985 to 1995.  He then served as Director of Multicultural Services while at Arizona State University’s West Campus in Glendale, Arizona from 1995 to 1998.  He was responsible for the Office of the Registrar and the Graduation Evaluation unit from 1999 to 2005 at Sac State.  Emiliano has also been involved in his community throughout the years, serving as a member of the Community Action Agency board which is responsible for providing services to low income communities.  He has also been recognized for his service on the advisory board to the EOP&S program at Butte Community College. 

Emiliano attended Butte Community College and received his associate’s degree before transferring to Chico State where he received his bachelor’s degree in Psychology. He holds a master’s degree in Administration Planning and Social Policy from Harvard’s Graduate School of Education.  

Emiliano grew up in Northern California area and is married to Nelida. The couple have two daughters.
