Finding solutions for the issues of the 21st century—energy, healthcare, food safety, the environment—will require contributions from the best and brightest minds. Students from College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics graduate with the most up-to-date skills available in their fields: biology students study cutting-edge stem cell research, geology students have access to the largest on-campus water well field in the country as well as the American River, chemistry students are invited to present original research papers at national conferences.

The College is also committed to bringing more of the region’s most promising students into the fields of science and technology by providing access to educational opportunities most won’t find at large research universities. And we’ve partnered with the area’s primary- and secondary-education leaders to get schoolchildren interested in science and math at an early age.
