Homecoming Parade 2012

There are numerous events going on during homecoming for students. Take pride and get involved around campus.

Sac State's annual Homecoming Golf Cart Parade is back and bigger than ever. Be sure to sign up for a chance to decorate and compete for the grand prize trophy and yearlong bragging rights. The parade will spread spirit around campus prior to the game, join the Hornet Walk during the festival, and loop around the track at halftime.

New this year, the Student Advancement Council (SAC) and Student Alumni Association (SAA) are hosting Sac State's first annual dance marathon, "Glow for Good." This campus-wide event brings students and the community together for a fun-filled night on Friday, October 17th and features live entertainment, games, speakers, themed activities, food and prizes, and of course, DANCING! The event raises money for the Student Emergency Grand Fund, which assists students who experience a financial emergency that could jeopardize their studies. For more information on "Glow for Good" or the Student Emergency Grant Fund, contact the SAC at (916) 278-6295.

And of course, don't forget about the tailgate and football game on October 18. Enjoy free food, games, and prizes before watching Sac State Football takes on the Cal Poly Mustangs. The game begins at 6:05 p.m. and promises to be a thrilling competition, as the Hornets "Bleed Green, and Finish Gold!" Remember, current students receive free admission to Hornet Football games as well as all athletics events all season long. Go Hornets!
