Help Desk
Help Desk Services, part of Academic Computing Resources (ACR), provides customer service to students, faculty and staff in their use of campus technologies. The Help Desk can be utilized via walk-in service, telephone service, email or chat services. Each service venue has unique advantages and offers directed support for our customers. The Help Desk provides a broad spectrum of support and use of our services continues to grow at a steady pace. The Help Desk also serves as a sort of central resource for all the desktop support (ITC staff) around campus. Anyone calling the Help Desk will be able to discuss and define their problem. The Hlp Desk works in collaboration with the college and divisional ITCs and will refer problems to them as appropriate for their area.
People seeking help from the Help Desk who have problems that defy a quick solution will get a service ticket generated and that ticket number sent to their email. With that ticket#, customers can track the progress of their ticket up to completion. Once the ticket is closed (problem resolved), the customer will get an email notifying them that the ticket has been closed, along with an opportunity to provide feedback on the service.
