BROADCAST E-MAIL AND VOICE MAIL
The University has the capability of sending electronic mail and voice mail messages to everyone with a CSUS publicly registered e-mail or voice mail account. A member of the President's Staff (see CSUS Home Page) must approve any mass voice or e-mail announcement. Such announcements must be less than 200 words for e-mail and no more than 60 seconds in length (approximately 150 words) for a voice mail message. An approved mass e-mail or voice mail message must meet one of the following criteria: - To make announcements about the voice or e-mail systems.
- To announce campus and/or regional emergencies;
- Be a matter of significant and compelling consequence to most members of the campus community. Announcements of scheduled events that are advertised to campus via other means (e.g., memoranda and fliers) will not be distributed through mass broadcast voice or electronic mail.
The Associate Vice President for Academic Affairs/Telecommunications is responsible for the implementation of this policy. |
