POLICIES AND PROCEDURES FOR FUNDRISING
All fundraising and development activities for private support are to be conducted in accordance with established policies and procedures, as set forth in the CSUS Development Manual, available at:
http://www.csus.edu/giving/about-us/Campus Support Forms.html
To ensure an effective and unified fundraising program, all private support fundraising projects of $5,000 and above for the University and its recognized auxiliary organizations must be reviewed through the University Affairs Advancement Office.
The Vice President for University Affairs must approve projects of $25,000 and above. In those instances where a fundraising campaign anticipates gifts totaling $250,000 or more, the Vice President for University Affairs will submit the project to the CSUS Trust Foundation Board of Directors for review and recommendation to the President.
For each new fundraising project described above, the group or individual responsible for the project should complete and submit to the Advancement Office a Fundraising Project Approval Form, available on the webpage listed above. Ideally, the form should be submitted to the Advancement Office at least three months prior to the anticipated starting date of the project to allow coordination with other planned development activities.
