CATERING
FOR CULTURAL EVENTS OR SPECIAL NEEDS EVENTS

GENERAL STATEMENT
Occasionally event sponsors request cultural food items or special preparation
methods that are not available through Foundation Catering. The Union, working
collaboratively with the Foundation, will try to address the sponsors catering
needs in a fair and equitable manner.
GUDIELINES AND PROCEDURES:
When this occurs the event sponsor is asked to submit to the Union Arrangements
Coordinator a written request listing all of the food items desired along with
a recipe for each item. The Arrangements Coordinator will review this list with
the Foundation Catering Manager and Production Manager for approval and pricing.
If Foundation Catering is unable to provide all or most of the items requested,
a letter from the Director of Dining Services will give written permission to
the event sponsor to hire an outside catering company for that specific event
only. The catering contractor must be licensed and insured, and must prepare all
food off-site.
