USA Book Loan Program

In cooperation with the One Book Program, The University Staff Assembly makes a limited number of the current One Book available to staff through the USA BOOK LOAN PROGRAM.

The 2012-2013 selection is One Amazing Thing by Chitra Divakaruni.  Quoting Jane Ciabattari’s review on www.npr.org: “Poet, short-story writer and novelist Chitra Banerjee Divakaruni cut her teeth listening to her grandfather tell tales from the ancient Indian epics — the Ramayana and Mahabharata — by lantern light in his Bengali village. This storytelling legacy shines brightly in her entrancing new novel, One Amazing Thing, in which nine people in the passport office in the basement of the Indian Consulate in San Francisco are yoked together by fate when an earthquakes hits.”

Staff Employee Recognition Program Nominations

Consider nominating a deserving staff member for the Staff Employee Recognition Award. All nominations will be treated confidentially and will remain a part of the pool until either the individual is selected or the conclusion of the academic year. It is anticipated one or more employees will be honored each month. Please help us recognize an exceptional employee and help them feel great about the work he or she does for the University.
