USA Book Loan Program

In cooperation with the One Book Program, The University Staff Assembly offers a limited number of the current One Book to staff through the USA BOOK LOAN PROGRAM. The selection for 2011-2012 is The Grace of Silence: A Memoir Pantheon, 2010 by Michele Norris.  Quoting the review in Booklist: “Lauded journalist Norris, cohost for All Things Considered on NPR, intended to write a book analyzing the changing conversation about race in the Obama era.  But once she realized that even within her own family, discussions about race were ‘not completely honest,’ she changed course.  The result is an investigative family memoir of rare candor and artistry that dramatically reveals essential yet hidden aspects of African American life.” Click here for more information about the one book program

Staff Employee Recognition Program Nominations

Consider nominating a deserving staff member for the Staff Employee Recognition Award. All nominations will be treated confidentially and will remain a part of the pool until either the individual is selected or the conclusion of the academic year. It is anticipated one or more employees will be honored each month. Please help us recognize an exceptional employee and help them feel great about the work he or she does for the University.
