About Us

The Veterans/ROTC Alumni Chapter is part of the Sacramento State Alumni Association. The purpose of the Veterans/ROTC Alumni chapter (VRC) is to make a positive difference for student veterans, their families, and our local community. Our membership strives to create a fraternal and service oriented environment that assists military members and their families.

The success of our group relies on our membership and volunteerism so please join us; we would love to have you!

The VRC encourages Veteran and ROTC alumni to be involved at Sacramento State by:

  • Sharing the vision of higher education with current and future generations of veterans.
  • Participating in activities that help veterans at Sacramento State and in the community.
  • Developing programs of special interest to veteran and ROTC alumni, faculty, staff and students.
  • Encouraging awareness of veteran transitional issues and matters of concern to the veteran student.
  • Assisting in the recruitment of Veteran and ROTC students at Sacramento State.

Veterans / ROTC chapter of the Alumni Association Board Meetings

 Tentatively meetings are typically scheduled for 5:30 – 7:00pm the last Thursday of every other month (location TBD).
