"Thanks for the Lesbians. Where are the Dykes?”
by Kara Kehoe

Kara Kehoe wrote "Thanks for the Lesbians. Where are the Dykes?" in Communication Studies 169: Television Criticism. Kara's instructor, Michele Foss-Snowden, asked students to select one (or more) of the various research methods discussed in the class and use that method in the critique of a television program of the students' choice.  The goal was the creation of a sophisticated and significant discovery and argument about how the television program functions as a rhetorical event.  Kara's instructor and the reviewer for Writing the University felt that in her paper Kara was balanced and fair, but still challenging and important.
