Templates

To help promote consistency of design and navigation, the following University templates are being provided to the campus community. These HTML pages and associated images can be downloaded and modified through an HTML editor (Notepad, SimpleText or TextEdit) or a Web editor (Macromedia Dreamweaver or Microsoft FrontPage).

Required Elements

Official University Web pages must comply with the guidelines and policies stated in Sacramento State Web Guidelines, Sacramento State Web Policy, and the Identity Style Guide. Two important areas are noted below:

University Logo & Identity

The required elements for official University Web pages assist our visitors in readily identifying the pages as belonging to the University. The Sacramento State templates incorporate the use guidelines for the new University logo and identity from the Identity Style Guide. Web Accessibility

For official University Web pages, providing equivalent access to Web sites for all students, faculty, and staff at Sacramento State is required by law. Resources to assist you with learning about Web accessibility can be found at the Accessibility page. The University templates are compliant with Section 508. Additions and changes you make to the templates, including your content and pages created from the templates, must also be compliant with Section 508.

Template Designs

After downloading a template file you will need an application capable of decompressing zipped files.  You can find links to these programs on the software page.  We recommend using WinZip for PC and StuffIt Expander for Macintosh systems.

Sacramento State Web templates

Templates are available in either fixed-width or expandable-width formats, with one-column, two-column and three-column content areas.
