Tutorials - Meta Tags: Meta Tag Generator

Special HTML statements provide information about your Web page to search engines, visitors and developers, but are not displayed in the browser. These statements are called meta tags. The form below will generate the necessary meta tags and associated attributes that you can use in your HTML documents. Just follow these simple steps:

  1. Complete the following form for each meta tag element that you wish to use.
  2. Click the Create Tags button to display your meta Tags in the Results Box.
  3. Copy the information from the Results Box and paste it into the <head> section of your HTML document.

Maximum of of 80 Characters - use keywords.

Enter the document author's name.

   

Maximum of 200 characters - use keywords.

Maximum of 1000 characters. Separate each word or phrase with a comma.

HTML editor or other authoring software used (e.g. Adobe GoLive, MS FrontPage, Macromedia Dreamweaver).

The number of days the robot should re-visit your site. We recommend using 30 days.

Your country code. The default, en-us is for English speaking, US language.

How you want your pages indexed by search engines:

ALL - Index and follow links
INDEX - Index the specific page and do not follow links.
FOLLOW - The search engine robots will follow and index linked pages.
NOINDEX - Continue onto linked pages but do not index current page
NOFOLLOW - DO not follow the associated linked documents.
