iMEET Users: Proxy Error & Workaround (Instructors)

Instructors,

An error is appearing for some users attempting to access the iMEET Sessions area from a SacCT course.  When a user clicks on the iMEET Sessions link from the course homepage, the error “Fail to launch the proxy tool learning object appears.

Students will need to access the meeting(s) from the iMEET Public Schedule .  In order to do that, you must set your meetings to Public, and provide students the password, if any, so that they can join the session(s).  Please follow the steps below to edit your meeting(s) to make them public.

  1. Start in Teach View
  2. Click the iMEET Sessions link on your course homepage
  3. Use the Calendar to navigate to the session date.
  4. Click the Pencil icon at left of meeting name
  5. The Edit Elluminate Live! Session page will appear.
  6. Scroll down to section 3- Session Access (Optional)
  7. Check the box labeled Display on Elluminate Live! Manager Public Page
  8. Click the Update button to save your changes.
  9. If a password is set, provide it to your users.
