Our Mission

The mission of the Department of World Languages and Literatures is to provide students with the opportunity to learn about world languages, literatures, and cultures to broaden cultural understanding, increase language proficiency, and enable students to communicate successfully in a pluralistic American society and abroad.

HEALS Certificate

The program requires completion of four required courses and a practicum for a total of 15 academic units. The lower-division courses are presented in a hybrid format, while the upper-division courses are offered using an online format,  providing optimum flexibility for working adult students.
