Degree Options

Major
Students majoring in Women's Studies must complete 36 units of upper division course work, including three core courses: WOMS 110, WOMS 115, and WOMS 180. The remaining 27 elective units are chosen from an approved list of courses offered by both Women's Studies and other departments on campus.  For the complete list of course offerings, please refer to the Major Requirements

Minor
Students minoring in Women's Studies must complete 21 units of upper division course work, including three core courses: WOMS 110, WOMS 115, and WOMS 180. The remaining 12 elective units are chosen from an approved list of courses offered by both Women's Studies and other departments on campus.  For the complete list of course offerings, please refer to the Minor Requirments.

Students already admitted to the University can use the Change of Major/Minor form to become a Women's Studies major or minor.  Students applying to the University can declare the Women's Studies major or minor when submitting your application.
