Hello my name is J’Lissabeth Faughn and I am the Director of the Multi-Cultural Center, and Pride & Women’s Resource Center.

I have over 12 years of experience working in higher education at a variety of institutions including University of Missouri, Illinois Wesleyan University & Iowa State University.  I moved here most recently from University of California Berkeley where, during my second year, I was recognized as a “Vagina Warrior” at Cal.  I was also a keynote speaker at the Women of Berkeley conference.

I’ve had the privilege of serving on the Standing Committee for Men and the Standing Committee for Women of the American College Personnel Association.  I’ve trained students, faculty, staff and law enforcement on topics including Sexual Assault in Same Gender relationships, healthy sexual relationships, and gender advocacy.  I have also taught at course on Gender Justice in Contemporary Society.

There are many opportunities to get involved with the Women’s Resource Center – and we’re not just for women!  We encourage everyone – men, women, transgender, and those of you  identify beyond the binary system of gender – to get involved!  Stop in and share your ideas for programs and learn how you can get involved with upcoming programs and conferences!
