The Women’s Resource Center (WRC) promotes gender equity through four distinct pillars: Allyship, Feminism, Leadership, and Empowerment. To this day, the WRC continues to serve students, faculty, and staff, regardless of sex, age, race, economic or marital status, gender, sexual orientation, educational level, or disabilities. The WRC develops various programs and events aimed to increase the awareness and understanding of the contributions, opportunities, and barriers facing women in our society in the past and present.
What We Do:
We provide educational programs, support, and advocacy for campus community. We raise awareness and provide opportunities for students to get involved with various issues pertaining to women’s contribution to society. Furthermore, our center examines the social and institutional barriers that continue to limit gender equity and opportunities for women through our student-run programs.
There are many ways to get involved with us. We connect students to on- and off-campus organizations based on their interest and opportunities available.
Our Shared Safe/Courageous Space:
The Women’s Resource Center and Pride Center share a common space that includes a gender-inclusive restroom, library, computer, and community resources. We encourage students, staff, and faculty to utilize the space for lunch, studying, networking, and discussions.
