Conference Details:
The Empowering Women of Color Conference centralizes women of color identities and experiences. Women of color take a significant amount of energy navigating the world helping, pioneering and making changes for others. The challenge of the constant pressure of putting others before yourself is that you leave yourself on the back-burner of self-care. The Fourth Annual Empowering Women of Color seeks to centralize marginalized identities by providing an empowering space for students of the Sacramento State Campus the goal of the conference is to centralize Women of Colors narratives and experiences. This year’s conference is “Unapologetic Self-Care: Reclaiming Self as an Act of Preservation” the purpose of the conference will be to give students a space to reflect, affirm and advocate for putting themselves first in acts of self- care.
