March is designated as Women’s Herstory Month and is a time to celebrate and reflect upon the fact that "…women of every race, class, and ethnic background have made historic contributions to the growth and strength of our Nation in countless recorded and unrecorded ways…" (1987 Congressional Proclamation).
Sac State’s Women's HerStory Month: The Power of Expression features speakers, musical performers, a gallery show and a celebration of influential women, both on-campus and off, who have made a difference to the Sac State and Sacramento community. All the events are free and open to the public.

Women of Influence Awards,
The 2011 Women’s Herstory Month Committee is proud to announce an event to be held on March 3, 2011 at 5:00 pm in the American River Courtyard to recognize and honor “Women of Influence” at Sacramento State in honor of Women’s Herstory Month.
We encourage you to take the time to submit a nomination for a staff member, faculty member, or student leader who has been a positive influence in your life. The awards serve as a great opportunity to recognize and applaud Sacramento State women who are helping to advance our campus community.
