Loaves & Fishes

Loaves & Fishes feeds the hungry and shelters the homeless, with a space of welcome, safety, and cleanliness for homeless men, women and children seeking services. Programs include Advocacy, Animal Emergency Services, Daily Bread Day Labor, Dining Room, Friendship Park, Genesis, Genesis, Guest Health Outreach, Jail Visitation, Library, Maryhouse, Mustard Seed School, Sister Nora's Place, Warehouse/ Procurement, and Wash House.


Maryhouse is a daytime hospitality shelter for homeless women and children that provides personal attention to each woman to help her identify and take the next step. Services include The Hot Breakfast Meal program which provides a hot meal each morning for the women and children. Maryhouse collaborates with community organizations such as churches, businesses, and service clubs including Mustard Seed School, a school for homeless children.

Sacramento Food Bank and Family Services

Sacramento Food Bank and Family Services strives to end hunger, improve literacy, strengthen families, educate youth, advance technological skills, mentor parents, build self-esteem and provide hope for individuals and families in the community. They offer food, clothing, parent education, adult education, youth education and senior programs along with a Women's Wisdome Art program all at no cost.

Wind Youth Services

Wind Youth Services engages youth experiencing homelessness who need safety from the streets and access to resources to help them move from crisis to healthy functioning and independence. Wind Youth Services provides such programs as Healthshack, Learning Center, Outreach, Sacramento Employment and Training Agency (SETA), Wind Center and Wind House.

Sacramento Area Emergency Housing Center (SAEHC) continues to be a profound force in moving homeless families and individuals to higher levels of self-sufficiency and self-reliance. In its shelters, transitional housing, and community services programs, programs include the provision of individualized case plans, self-sufficiency workshops and groups such as living skills, parenting, budgeting, housing, health and mental health care, housing relocation assistance, and community support services.
