Strategies for Change

Strategies for Change is a addiction intervention organization that focuses on the unique needs and health issues of women related to substance abuse. Services include drug testing, youth and family support services, education, criminal justice programs, community support groups, and a substance abuse and mental health treatment program that looks at intervention, mental health screenings and assesssment, co-occuring disorders, outpatient treatment, day treament, prenatal treatment, skill development and aftercare.

MAAP provides services in a culturally appropriate way to the community from various sites and venues with a multicultural staff that represents the various ethnicities found in the Sacramento community. They provide counseling and case mangement assistance to individuals and families experiencing substance abuse, mental illness, and/or post criminal incarceration challenges through education, prevention and treatment services. Services include DUI Program, Mi Casa Recovery Program, Outpatient/Drug Diversion, SAMHSA Project (drug and alcohol abuse), and the Youth Project. MAAP provides services is Spanish and English.
