University Foundation at Sacramento State


SEPTEMBER 2018 UPDATE: Effective October 1, 2018, University Enterprises Inc. (UEI) will transfer the administration of the University Foundation at Sac State (UFSS) to Sacramento State's Financial Services department. Multiple training sessions will be held through October 30, 2018 to help campus users identify policy and procedure changes resulting from this transition. Sacramento State’s Department of Financial Services will provide comprehensive accounting and administrative services to the University Foundation at Sacramento State (University Foundation).  The University Foundation is a tax exempt 501 (c)(3) campus auxiliary.  For more than 20 years, The University Foundation has served as the University’s primary philanthropic and fundraising auxiliary, actively supporting the University’s mission of teaching, learning, and service by acquiring and managing financial and other resources for the University.

Donors may give gifts to The University Foundation at Sacramento State for specific campus purposes and obtain tax benefits in accordance with State of California and United States federal laws. All funds managed by the University Foundation at Sacramento State are used for the benefit of the University, honoring any restrictions placed on them by the donor. Gift funds are held in non-state accounts, audited annually, and invested prudently.
