About Workers' Compensation

The Workers' Compensation Manager oversees and directs the Third-Party Administrator (TPA) for the University's workers' compensation program and has overall management responsibility for workers' compensation claims made against the University from inception to closure.

The Workers' Compensation Manager acts as the liaison betwen the University, the employee and medical provider(s); provides guidance and counsel to employees on benefit options; represents the University at hearings, depositions and appeals; provides consultation to management on return-to-work issues and transitional work agreements; provides ongoing training to management and supervisory staff; works with TPA and applicable University offices to coordinate investigations of fraud; and develops loss-control programs focused on prevention of injury/illness, identifying conditions that may result in injury and working with administrators, managers and employees to remediate them.
