Committee Membership

The Elections Committee makes recommendations to the Faculty Senate in regard to the conduct of the elections and the interpretation of election procedures and results. It further develops efficient election control, and certify the results. The Committee makes recommendations to the Faculty Senate on voting eligibility as defined in the CSUS Faculty Constitution and Bylaws or in the case of contested elections.

Charge

  1. Initiate recommendations to the Faculty Senate in regard to the conduct of the elections and the interpretation of election procedures and results.
  2. Develop efficient election control procedures in cooperation with the electing units.
  3. Certify the results.
  4. Make recommendations to the Faculty Senate on voting eligibility as defined in the CSUS Faculty Constitution and Bylaws or in the case of contested elections.

Membership

A. Voting Members

Five members of the Executive Committee

  1. Vice-Chair of the Faculty Senate
  2. Four At-Large members of the Executive Committee

B. Term

  1. The term of service will be one year.

Operations

  1. This shall be a committee of the Faculty Senate, reporting to the Executive Committee.
  2. Issues to be addressed by the Committee may be referred by the Executive Committee of the Faculty Senate.

Committee Meetings

  1. The Committee shall meet as needed.
  2. A quorum of the Committee shall be a majority of the voting members. The Committee shall not officially take action in the absence of a quorum.
