Annual CBA Film Festival Innovation

  •  In August 2015 the CBA Annual Film Festival program has been presented in a showcase symposium in the Academy of Management Annual Conference organized in Vancouver, Canada. Academy of Management Annual Conference symposium in 2015 brought together some of the leading scholars in management, around the world, to analyze a selection of CBA Annual Film Festival projects to create a forum on leading with emotional intelligence. All panelists in this session praised these films for their academic quality, analytical power, creativity, innovation, and insightfulness. 

  • The innovative efforts to improve this project’s pedagogical design have been acknowledged and supported with various grants throughout the course of this project, including three CSUS Pedagogy Enhancement Awards in the 2012-2013, 2014-2015, and 2015-2016 Academic years, and one CSU-level Course Redesign Award in 2015-2016.

  • Students’ learning outcomes from the film-projects have also been presented in the Annual CSU Teaching and Learning Symposium on “Promoting Student Success through Innovation, Creativity, Diversity and Teamwork” in San Jose in 2016.

  • Primarily in recognition for his contributions for the Annual CBA Film Festival, Professor Ozcelik has been honored by the inaugural CSU Faculty Innovation and Leadership Award in 2018.
