(Applicable to both residents and non-residents)

The Foundation courses are administered by the College of Continuing Education (CCE). Students must register for all Foundation classes through the CCE as well as paying a per-unit fee for each class. The fee is currently $630.00 per unit paid through the CCE.  Please visit the CCE's website for more information about costs.

ENROLLMENT CANCELLATION from the University will occur if registration, non-resident tuition, Graduate Business Professional fees, tuition fees, and campus fees are not paid in full by the due date, including checks or credit cards returned for any cause. If your enrollment is cancelled, you may forfeit any non-resident tuition, Graduate Business Professional fees, tuition fees, and campus fees paid to date, be subject to a re-enrollment fee, may be delayed for re-registration, and you may lose your continuing student status for the following semester.

Please note that other fees such as parking and health insurance may also be applicable.

Financial Aid Information

It is recommended that you start the financial aid process as early as possible. Before you are admitted, you can fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

  1. File FAFSA ASAP even if you are undecided if you want aid.
  2. File online or complete form & mail
  3. It takes approximately 4 – 6 weeks to process your FAFSA

Once you have submitted your FAFSA you will receive a Student Aid Report (SAR) (usually takes 2-3 business days).

If you would like information regarding financial aid, please visit the CSUS Financial Aid Office website at https://www.csus.edu/faid/

The CSU makes every effort to keep student costs to a minimum. Fees listed in published schedules or student accounts may need to be increased when public funding is inadequate. Therefore, CSU must reserve the right, even after initial fee payments are made to increase or modify any listed fees, without notice, until the date when instruction for a particular semester or quarter has begun. All CSU listed fees should be regarded as estimates that are subject to change upon approval by the Board of Trustees.
