  • POOR PEOPLE'S CAMPAIGN

The Center on Race, Immigration & Social Justice Taskforce hosted a forum on The Poor People’s Campaign, Wednesday, October 16, 1:00 p.m. in the Cottonwood Suite I, University Union. Faculty, students, and staff joined to hear from the community organizations in Sacramento and watched a video of Rev. William Barber II, Co-Chair for Poor People’s Campaign.

This event was free and open to the public with refreshments provided.

  • GUAPINOL LEADERS @ SAC STATE

Honduran Water Defenders spoke on Environmental and Immigration Justice. Four Water Defenders spoke Monday, October 7, at the Green and Gold Room in the University Union. The four powerful water defenders are leaders in their community. This event intersected with many themes such as water as a basic human right, migration out of Central America, environmental refugees, environmental protection and activism.
