Background Information
Mike obtained his Bachelor of Science degree, in Occupational Health and Safety in 1987 from Brigham Young University. He obtained his Master of Science Degree in Environmental Science/Industrial Hygiene, from California State University, Northridge, in 1993. Mr. Christensen has been employed by Intel, the Los Angeles County Sanitation Districts, and the California State University system. From 1993 to 1999 Mr. Christensen served as adjunct faculty at California State University, Northridge, in the broad discipline of Environmental Science. Mr. Christensen is certified by the American Board of Industrial Hygiene, as an Industrial Hygienist, CP 7427.

Mike’s current responsibilities include University environmental compliance, employee safety, campus space management, business continuity planning, and risk management. Mr. Christensen also Co-chairs the Campus Safety and Environmental Compliance Committee, and the Campus Sustainability Committee, and chairs the CSU System-wide Environmental Health and Safety Directors’ Affinity Group.

Mike's most valuable possessions are his wife, Susan, and their five beautiful children and two daughter in-laws, Mark & Rachel, Aaron & Kaylyn, Alise, Tyler, and Kellie.
