Virtual Senior Design Showcase
The Spring 2021 Virtual Senior Design Showcase will take place on Friday, May 21st. Senior Design project pages, information, and links will be forthcoming closer to the event.
The Senior Design Showcase takes place every semester, and is an event where graduating seniors in Civil Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering present the highlights of their senior design projects.
All students work collaboratively in small groups. Some student groups have worked collaboratively with individuals, private companies, or public agencies as clients, while other student groups have developed and designed their own innovative projects. Some groups will be giving project presentations, while some groups will be demonstrating products that they have designed and manufactured. In this virtual format, some presentations will be live while some will be recorded.
Check here for more information with links and times when they become available.
Civil Engineering - CE 191
Student teams perform preliminary engineering design of a civil engineering system. Students are required to adhere to realistic constraints, and practicing professional engineers work with the student teams to provide.
Computer Science - CSC 191
Student teams work on the development of a software application for a public or private sector client. Team members must collaborate with each other as well as with their client to ensure the software delivered provides the value that the client expects.
Electrical & Electronic Engineering - EEE 192A
Student teams plan, research, and design aspects of energy systems, including generation, transmission, and distribution systems. Emphasis is placed on design philosophies, problem definition, research, project planning, communication skills, teamwork, development of specifications, and effective utilization of available resources.
Electrical & Electronic Engineering - EEE 192B
Student teams plan, research, and design aspects of energy systems, including generation, transmission, and distribution systems. Emphasis is placed on design philosophies, problem definition, research, project planning, communication skills, teamwork, development of specifications, and effective utilization of available resources.
Electrical & Electronic Engineering EEE193A/Computer Engineering CPE190
Combined teams from CpE and EEE plan and design electronic engineering devices, systems, and software. Emphasis is placed on design philosophies, problem definition, project planning and budgeting, communication skills, teamwork, development of specifications, utilization of computer aided-design systems, and effective utilization of available resources.
Electrical & Electronic Engineering EEE193B/Computer Engineering CPE191
Student teams design projects started in EEE 193A/CPE 190. The hardware is designed, tested, and redesigned if necessary. Required software is written, debugged, and incorporated into a written report. The final results of the project are presented.
Mechanical Engineering - ME 190
Student teams design a product, device, or apparatus that will be fabricated in ME 191. Students work in small groups and interact with product users, vendors, and faculty advisors.
Mechanical Engineering - ME 191
Continuation of the project started in ME 190. Teams fabricate, assemble, test, evaluate, and report on their product, device, or apparatus.
