The Chemistry Department Congratulates Aleksey Raskovalov

Congratulations, Aleksey Raskovalov!

Aleksey Raskovalov will be graduating in summer 2020 with a BS in Biochemistry and a 3.92 GPA. Aleksey has been an outstanding scholar while a student at Sacramento State, but he also has been heavily involved in other activities and is known for his inquisitive nature, his leadership, modesty and research acumen. Aleksey also won the department’s American Chemical Society (ACS) Organic Chemistry Award in 2020. He has worked as a student assistant in the Stockroom, and served as president of the Chemistry Club for two years, starting in 2018.

Aleksey has also worked in the McReynolds laboratory for two years, being a very motivated and accomplished student. He has worked on multistep syntheses of glycodendrimers for which he has received competitive funding and given multiple presentations. Aleksey is planning to continue in biochemistry to earn a PhD. The department wishes him the best in his endeavors!
