Inclusive culture helps Sac State land Peace Corps Prep program

Peace Corps Sacramento State has become the first California State University campus to offer Peace Corps Prep, a certificate program that will give undergraduates more opportunities to provide the kind of outreach and service for which the Peace Corps is known.

The program will be launched this fall.

The University’s selection to establish the program underscores its reputation and record as a diverse and inclusive institution.

“Sac State is a globally minded campus, with an inclusive and considerate culture,” said Lorry Marvin, regional recruitment supervisor for the Peace Corps West Region. “The school also highly encourages students to become involved with service and has several campus programs geared toward that end. For these reasons and more, Sac State is a great fit for Peace Corps Prep.”
