A caring campus: Sac State is there for students in need

Pop up Pantry Sacramento State is dedicated to creating a culture of belonging, safety, and inclusion. Programs such as the Student Emergency Grant Fund, ASI Food Pantry, and Basic Needs office support the University’s “culture of caring” and help provide the security students seek.

“If students are going through a rough time or have a one-time crisis and we support them very quickly, they will continue with their degree,” case manager Danielle Muñoz says. “But if we’re not helping, the student is unlikely to finish college, and we aren’t doing our job as an institution to foster their educational experience.”
