California State University, Sacramento Sacramento State Leader

Learn the many ways Sac State is sustaining the region

Sac State Magazine At Sacramento State, sustainability is so engrained in our culture that it’s not just what we do, it’s who we are. We’ve transformed our campus into a living laboratory that teaches students about everything from vertical hydroponics to wetland restoration to biofuel production. It’s also why new buildings are LEED certified, rainwater is captured, and organic waste is converted to mulch.

The University’s role as a leader in sustainability is showcased in the Fall 2018 Sac State Magazine, now available online.
