Cost of Attendance

Student budgets, also known as Cost of Attendance (COA), are designed to provide students with a projection of reasonable costs to attend school for a nine-month school period. The student budgets below are estimated costs to attend Sacramento State for one academic year. Your individual circumstances (costs), discretionary expenses, or spending styles may not be the same as the COA.

Your financial need (need-based aid) is determined by subtracting your Estimated Family Contribution (EFC) from the Cost of Attendance.  The EFC is the federally-determined amount that you and your family are expected to contribute toward your education based on the information provided on the FAFSA or Dream Act application.  This does not imply that a cash contribution is expected.

For Informational Purposes
