Sac State Farm-to-Fork "Bites on the Bridge"

Farm_to_Fork_2016_FACS.jpgThe Sac State Farm-to-Fork event, featuring sustainable, locally sourced ingredients, will be planned, prepared, and served by Sacramento State students in Professor Kelly Thompson’s Food Production & Sustainability course. Small plates and desserts will be provided; beer and wine will be also be offered. This year's food theme is "Tastes of the World."  A variety of dishes from around the globe will be offered.  While we cannot meet special dietary requests, each guest will have the ability to choose from several offerings.  A list of ingredients for each offering is available upon advance request and at the point of service.

Event proceeds to benefit the Sac State Bioconversion and Agricultral Collaborative (BAC Yard)

The BAC Yard exists to reduce waste and greenhouse gas emissions at Sac State through composting and sustainable agriculture methods. 

The Venue

We will be dining outside on the Guy West Bridge over the American River. We suggest business casual attire appropriate to current weather forecasts. We reserve the right to change the venue, date and/or time due to acts of nature. 

Day of Event

Check in tables will be located at the Guy West Plaza on the Sacramento State campus, as well as on the University Avenue side of the bridge.  IDENTIFICATION IS REQUIRED for alcohol consumption eligibility.  Parking is not included in the ticket purchase.  For more information on parking please visit University Transporation & Parking Services (UTAPS).
