University Library

The center of campus intellectual discovery

At Sacramento State, the University Library is much more than a building. It’s a hub for the pursuit of knowledge.

The Library connects students, faculty and the Sacramento community with collections and research services that promote cultural engagement and encourage a lifelong love of learning. It promotes the time-honored principles of teaching, learning and scholarly activity while providing the technological tools that aid the process of intellectual discovery.

You can give the gift of education by supporting:

  • The Dean's Leadership Circle, which allows Dean Amy Kautzman to fund emerging needs or unique opportunities in the University Library, such as making the Special Collections and University Archives accessible for faculty to use in their curriculums.
  • Programs throughout the Library benefit from annual designated gifts, corporate or foundation funding, or through planned gifts.
  • Endowed funds that offer sustainable support.
  • The Friends of the Library, a volunteer support group whose members raise money for materials, equipment and services for the Library through membership dues, book sales, fundraising events and encouragement of gifts of all kinds to the Library. The Friends sponsor activities and events to promote awareness of the Library’s collections, resources and services to the community and to the University.
