Tami Bogert, '93 (Criminal Justice)

Judge Tami R. Bogert was appointed to the Sacramento Superior Court on December 16, 2010. She currently presides as a judge in family law and has also presided in juvenile-delinquency and criminal departments. Before joining the bench, Judge Bogert’s legal career encompassed varied and complex issues—involving constitutional law, government law, civil law, administrative law, labor law, and criminal law—while serving as an advisor to several California Governors (including as deputy legal affairs secretary), the chief legal officer and counsel responsible for administering the State’s labor-relations laws, a director and supervising attorney at the California District Attorneys Association, and also serving in the California Attorney General’s Office.
