Speech and Language Pathologist

General Duties: 

-Identify and evaluate students with language, speech, and/or hearing disabilities through standard assessment procedures. 

-Attend IEPs to discuss findings and make recommendations.

-Supervision of SLPA (Assistant): including interview, hiring, training, and ongoing supervision of SLPA

-Provision of direct and/or indirect instructional services to stimulate and/or improve the

communication behavior of students with handicapping disorders.

-Collaboration with classroom teachers and other allied personnel to develop successful interventions.

-Development of performance objectives and lesson plans consistent with established district goals and objectives.

-Communication with students and parents regarding the educational and social progress of students. 

- Completion of formal progress reports, annual reports

- Educate related professionals, SLPA’s, teachers, and classroom aides about speech and language deficits in the classroom, how to identify them and treat

-Multi modality service delivery including collaboration, pull-out, and push in treatment for identified students
