Speech-Language Pathologist.  Owner and Director of Speech Pathology Practices, California and Boston

Hospital contracts included: Methodist Hospital, CPC Sierra Vista Psychiatric Hospital, Sutter-Davis Hospital, Massachusetts Respiratory Hospital, Milton Hospital, and Weymouth Hospital.

Skilled Nursing Facility contracts included (partial listing):  Bruceville Terrace, Alderson’s Convalescent Hospital, St. John’s Retirement Village, Sierra Healthcare, Courtyard Skilled Nursing Facility, and University Retirement Community.

Provided bedside swallowing assessments and therapy and instructed staff in feeding precautions.

Home Health Agency contracts included (partial listing): Sacramento Visiting Nurse Association, Davis Visiting Nurse Association, and a home health agency through JB&E Therapy.

Provided assessment and therapy to patients presenting with dysphagia, dysphasia, motor speech, and cognitive disorders.  Provided family members with swallowing safety techniques and language facilitation activities.

Private Clients included children and adults in my Sacramento, Davis and home offices, at the Merryhill School in Davis, in the Weymouth Hospital out-patient clinic and at Weymouth Therapy Associates.

Provided diagnostic and therapeutic services to children on the autism spectrum as well as those presenting with language-learning, phonemic awareness, executive functioning, language, speech, and myofunctional disorders.  Assessment and treatment provided to adult clients included voice, swallowing, and cognitive disorders.

Itinerant Speech-Language Pathologist, Woodland Joint Unified School District, Woodland, California (May 2014-June 2015)

On-call therapist, NCS Brain Injury Rehabilitation, Dixon, CA (2014 to 2016)

Provide individual and team out-patient therapy to patients sustaining traumatic brain injuries.

Supervise graduate and undergraduate students (often on two monitors simultaneously) in assessment techniques and treatment tools used with children and adults, videotape sessions, assign grades, hold conferences, conduct midterm and final self-evaluations, and provide report-writing formats.
