General Duties: 

-Completion of special assignments, including bilingual/Spanish speech-language evaluations; hold IEP meetings and other necessary meetings in Spanish.

-Coordinate therapy placements to schools, clinic and home-based services throughout Northern California; interview, hire and supervise Speech Pathologists and Speech Language Pathology Assistants; supervise team of 20 SLP/As;

-Identify and evaluate students in public and charter schools with language, speech, and/or hearing disabilities through standard screening procedures.

  -Complete speech-language assessments. Attend IEPs to discuss findings and make recommendations.

-Supervision of CFY/RPE candidates.

-Direct and/or indirect instructional services to stimulate and/or improve the communication behavior of students with handicapping disorders.

-Collaboration with classroom teachers, resource specialists, and other allied personnel to develop successful interventions.

-Development of performance objectives and lesson plans consistent with established district goals and objectives.

-Communication with students and parents regarding the educational and social progress of students.  Preparation of formal progress reports and provision of other information appropriate for inclusion in the cumulative records of students assigned.

-Interpretation of the programs and goals of the school district to the community.
