Graduate Program Advancement to Candidacy

  • This procedure includes a review of your graduate program of courses (those completed and those to be taken) and approval by your program advisor, the Graduate Coordinator, and the Graduate Center. Any program changes after approval require formal petition.
  • You must have successfully completed 12 units of the program before submitting the Advancement to Candidacy form.
  • Pick up the Advancement to Candidacy form from the Graduate Studies, complete the form, secure your advisor's signature, and bring the form to the Graduate Coordinator for signature approval.
