North Central Information Center (NCIC) is one of nine California Historical Resources Information System (CHRIS) information centers (ICs) affiliated with the California Office of Historic Preservation (OHP). NCIC manages a portion of the CHRIS inventory of cultural resources site records and reports. Our service area consists of Amador, El Dorado, Nevada, Placer, Sacramento, and Yuba counties.

For authorized user of the CHRIS (i.e. professional historians and archaeologists), NCIC is open for in-house research, by appointment only, Monday through Friday, 9:30-4:30. Temporary parking passes are available for visitors.
