Summer 2018 Wellbeing Activities


To register, please click the “Register” button on the right side of the specific activity. If the activity is offered before work, during noon-time, or after work, please select which session(s) you wish to attend, next fill out the registration fields, and e-sign the waiver and click “I Agree and Register”. You will be given the option to print your registration information and the waiver for your records. You will also receive a confirmation email upon completed registration.

Please note that some of these offerings are instructor led and some are independent and for casual use. Additionally, some activities are offered during specific dates and times, please note when the activity is taking place. The Professional Development and Training Office is working to create a consistent activity schedule in the future. When you attend these activities, please bring your one card to present.

Walking for Wellness Campaign

Welcome to the 24th year of NoonTime Wellness at Sacramento State! Over the next several weeks we will offer activities that we hope will get you moving! We have a beautiful park-like campus that will serve as the springboard for our Walking for Wellness campaign.

Do you want to start a fitness program and don’t know where to start? It’s easy – Walking is it! Walking is one of the easiest and most effective forms of exercise. All you need is a good pair of shoes, comfortable clothing, and the interest!

As part of Walking for Wellness we are launching the Sacramento State Walking Group(s)! Come on and join a group or walk alone –just participate!

We will provide monthly incentives to our top walkers!

Walker categories:

  • Strollers – Light intensity, the point is to get up and get moving. Stop and enjoy the roses, get intoxicated by their heavenly scent.
  • Movers – Moderate intensity, let’s get out, get our heart rate up and the blood circulating. Briefly check out the roses and breathe the beauty in as you walk by.
  • Shakers – Intense exercise, get your blood pumping and produce a little sweat. Get a whiff of the roses as you whiz by.
