Our Staff

Our administrative coordinator, Carol Downey, M.A. Ed (Educational Leadership) manages our office almost single-handedly, with occasional help from student assistants (see below).  Carol has worked at CSUS for 25 years and brings a wealth of institutional knowledge to our department.  Carol enjoys traveling especially to our national parks and spending time with a large extended family. On Halloween, historical characters often fill in for Ms. Downey; this past year, we were graced by Cleopatra, Queen of Da Nile.

Our student assistant, Saida Houseyni comes to us with a lot of experience dealing with religious conflict. Saida joined the department as a Humanities major, graduated in 2013 and is currently in our Humanities Masters Program.
