Office Hours:

  • Mondays 12:00 - 12:50 pm
  • Tuesdays 9:00-9:50 am
  • Wednesdays: 11:00- 11:50 am

Required Materials:

  • ALEKS software
  • ELM Review by Sharon Baker, Stan Barrick and Pam Fredenburg
  • Calculator: Basic scientific calculator. No graphing calculators.

Homework Policy:
Homework will be assigned daily and collected daily. If you are absent, you may turn in the homework assignment for the day of the absence along with the assignment due the day of your return when you return to class. Late homework will be accepted FOR HALF CREDIT. The last day to turn in late homework is the day of the midterm exam. Your two lowest homework scores will not be used in computing your course grade.

Quiz Policy:
Quizzes will be given frequently and may not be made up. Your lowest quiz score will not be used in computing your course grade.

Make up exams:
Make up exams will not be allowed. An exception might be if: (1) the instructor and student agree that the student has a serious and compelling reason AND (2) the student contacts the instructor BEFORE the scheduled exam.

Monday, December 15, 12:45 - 2:45 pm in LSN 2107

Attendance Policy
You are given two "free absences". Use these wisely. If you miss more than twenty minutes of class, it will be considered an absence. If you miss up to twenty minutes of class, it will be considered a tardy. Two tardies are considered one absence. After two absences, you must speak with me about your problem with attendance. After three absences you must discuss your absences with the LS 10I Coordinator. After four absences you must bring a written explanation to the Learning skills Office and schedule a meeting with the Mathematics Coordinator of Learning Skills, Dr. Barrick. You may be given "No Credit" at t
