Part 1 - Eureka
Windows 98 Lab instructions
- To access the EUREKA, the CSUS Library Catalog System:
- Click the Start button and the Start menu opens.
- Point to Programs.
- Point to Internet Applications.
- Select Terminal and a QVT/Term window appears.
- Select Open from the File menu and an Open
Session dialog box opens.
- In the Configuration box, select CSUS_Library_Catalog (EUREKA).
- Click OK and the Library Gateway Menu should appear
shortly.
- Type E and the EUREKA Library Catalog screen appears.
- Type S to perform a subject search.
- At the SUBJECT: prompt, type the word computer and
press ENTER.
- Type D to display the entries found.

UnCover is a periodical database which indexes tables of content of over 16,000

- At the Enter Choice > prompt, type PAC and press ENTER.

Note: The most common way to access a Web site is to type
it's Web address (URL) in the Location box and press the ENTER key. This will take you to
a specific Web site. When you see a statement like, "Go to www.csus.edu",
assume that you will type in the Web address in the Location box and
press ENTER.

As you may recall from a previous lecture, shareware is copyrighted software that includes
