Nancy Kalish, Ph.D. has found in her research that rekindled romances are common in all age groups. In fact, half of her participants from around the world were under thirty years old. She has found that most people hold a special place in their hearts for their "first love." They might never discuss these feelings, however, out of marital loyalty, or perhaps out of embarrassment.

Dr. Kalish has received thousands of letters, as well as phone calls, faxes, and e-mail, from people ages 12 to 89, thanking her profusely for finally addressing their feelings about lost love. And who amongst us has never lost someone deeply loved, or thought about that person from time to time?

Included in Lost and Found Lovers are questionnaire data and stories from more than 1000 couples in all fifty states, Washington, D.C., Puerto Rico, and thirty-five additional countries.

Authoring Lost and Found Lovers has been a wonderful experience for her. She has especially enjoyed reading all the love stories, and meeting or speaking with rekindlers from all over the world. She feels that this book can help her share her experiences with others who have renewed a romance, would like to search for a Lost Lover, or simply think about "that one special sweetheart from long ago."
