• You were chosen are about to embark on an incredible journey to the outer space world. There are nine mysterious planets swirling in the universe.

Task

Your task is to create an informational poster of three planets of your choice. You will need to include specific details of each planet in your poster.

1.       Who is your planet named after?

2.        How far away (distance) is your planet from the sun?

3.       What is the distance across your planet?

4.       How long is one year on your planet in Earth years?

5.       One day on your planet equals how many hours/days on Earth?

6.       How many moons does your planet have?

7.       What are their names?

8.       What gases are in the atmosphere?

9.       How hot or cold is it on your planet?

10. What is your planet made of?

Process

·      You will be working in groups of three. Each person is responsible to find out information about three planets.

·      You may use the websites listed under resources as well as outside resources.

·      After obtaining all your information you will create one huge poster containing information about the three planets.

·      Each person is responsible to include a picture of their planet.

·      Groups will present the poster to the class.
