Introduction

  • You have no rights! Nothing you say is right! You’re treated like dirt! You’re whipped! You’re beaten! How would you feel if this was you?

Task

  • 1. You will research slavery that took place in three different continents. All three have to be different types of slavery, ex: ethnicity, gender, age, religion, tribe, etc.
  • 2. You will write a one page summary on each different type of slavery.
  • 3. You will then have to write a first person paper as if you were one of the slaves you researched.

Process

  • For each summary you need at least one quote from any of your resources. I will supply two resources for you already. You will need to find four more resources on your own. Two of your resources need to be from the internet and the other two needs to be a non-fiction book from the library.
  • These are some examples of questions you might ask yourself but don’t limit yourselves to these: Who was enslaved? What rights did slaves have? How could slaves gain their freedom? The answers and experiences are different for every society with slaves.

Resources
