Introduction

Are you tired of just learning the rules of grammar of the German language?

Are you ready to put your language to practical use? Well if so, hold on to your socks

and get ready to travel to Germany and use the language in practical situations.

Task

You have just entered your German 4 classroom. You notice that the room is empty and you faintly hear the sound of Oktoberfest music coming from blackboard. The bell has rung, but you are still the only one in the room. You feel a cold chill run up your

spine, and the door slams suddenly.

You are being pulled slowly towards the blackboard. You hold onto desks, books, chairs, anything you can find, but the force becomes greater. The music gets louder, almost deafening! You finally are against the blackboard which feels gooey; your hand pushes through the blackboard as if it were slime. Finally you are sucked like a milkshake into the abyss! You awake with just a note in your hand, and you are in the midst of a busy street. The people around you are speaking German.

The note reads:

You must be able to converse in three different situations where you will be transported. If you fail to do so, you will never be able to return home. You will be given only some clues to help you succeed in finding appropriate dialogue.
